We provide a creative environment in which to help you develop your business, find solutions to problems and facilitate opportunities for  business to business interaction. Women In Business provides training that is relevant to helping you and your business grow and assist you with the challenges that starting and running a business can bring.

Women In Business works to promote the business needs of women and recognises that women manage businesses differently and accommodates those needs.  We do not have feminist, social or political agendas .  Meetings are held in a positive and friendly environment and Members are from a wide range of businesses.  Some are just starting out with the seed of an idea and others have been in business for a number of years and are looking for a new way of making business contacts.

An investigation to mark International Women's Day unearths some surprising results

When more than half of the world's population wakes up on Thursday – the 101st International Women's Day – it will be hard to know whether to celebrate or give in to despair. A British woman will face the prospect of at least 14 more general elections before women equal men in the Commons. But a woman in Qatar will be six times more likely to go to university than the man next door.

The global gender gap defies simple solutions. Eighty-five per cent of countries have improved conditions for women over the past six years, according to the World Economic Forum, but in economic and political terms there is still a long way to go.

Merseyside Women of the Year Ambition Realised In Partnership with LJMU

Jean Gadsby and Ellie Kerr handed over a cheque to Jo Ives and Deborah Pownall from LJMU’s Graduate Development Centre, who will with the help of the Student Bursary Team make the decision who will receive the awards in September when the new academic year starts. Jo and Deborah said they were thrilled to be able to help their students with such funding and it will make a huge difference to the students who are eligible for the award.
