Ellen has been instrumental in sustaining Women In Business and welcomes the help she receives with the day to day running of the network by a group of Women In Business Members.

These Associates are the life blood of the Network and they give their spare time freely to help other women achieve their business goals.  They provide content, administration support and sponsorship for the business events for the Members.  She has received both local and national recognition for her work within the women's enterprise agenda.

Merseyside Woman of the Year

Ellen was the first winner of the "Merseyside Woman of the Year" at the ceremony which took place at The Crowne Plaza, Liverpool. Ellen was nominated for the work she has done to ensure the survival of Women In Business. Ellen has continued to support Merseyside Women of the Year and the Awards which are now in their 8th year, in July 2010 Women In Business took over the event management and it has truly felt as if the event has "come home".   With over 320 attendees it is the largest celebration of women's achievements on Merseyside and is the highlight in the diary across the area.  It continues to raise the profile of women's contribution to Merseyside across all sectors and in all areas of life.
