The Deborah Hutton Campaign launches national short films competition for young people

The Deborah Hutton Campaign has just launched its brilliant national short films competition for young people – Cut Films.

Cut Films is a peer-to-peer film and social media project educating young people about the dangers of smoking. It is fronted by T4 presenter, Will Best.

They have also developed activity plans that can be used in classrooms or youth groups for 13 plus as well as an easy guide to making a short films (download PDF ‘Guide Making a Short Film’).

Great opportunity for:

• Anyone that works with young people to encourage them to enter the short film comp, download the resources and help educate them about smoking in a creative way.

• Young people that are interested in films, social media, drama etc.

• Mentors – it’s a great activity to do with mentees.

Prizes for young people include music festival tickets, IPods, Kindles, work experience at a film production company and more.
